  11. <p>   Entry requirements: Visas are not necessary for business and
  12. holiday trips.
  13. </p>
  14. <p>   Clothing: Because the climate is cool and damp, medium- to
  15. heavy-weight clothing is worn most of the year.
  16. </p>
  17. <p>   Health: Ireland has competent specialists in all fields of
  18. medicine and dentistry. Community sanitation is generally good;
  19. tapwater is potable.
  20. </p>
  21. <p>   Telecommunications: Telephone and other telecommunications
  22. services are good. Dublin is five standard time zones ahead of
  23. eastern standard time. Daylight saving time is observed at
  24. about the same time in Ireland as the eastern US.
  25. </p>
  26. <p>   Transportation: Regular flights leave the US for Dublin via
  27. Shannon or London. Excellent direct commercial services exist
  28. between Dublin, some smaller Irish cities, and most other major
  29. European cities.

  31. <p>   Holidays: New Year's Day, St. Patrick's Day (March 17),
  32. Easter Monday, Christmas Day, St. Stephen's Day (December 26),
  33. and bank holiday Mondays in early June, early August, and late
  34. 0ctober.
